Catherine McGrath is a 19 year old Country Pop artist from Northern Ireland who spent her childhood growing up in the rural countryside, just outside Belfast. From a young age she would spend her evenings playing traditional Irish folk songs with her parents and sisters. It was this love for folk music, which quickly developed into her becoming obsessed with Country music and everything to do with the Country culture. Catherine became hooked when she first stumbled across Taylor Swift’s single ‘Love Story’ and immediately went and bought the album ‘Fearless’. This led to her discovering, and taking inspiration from, even more acts such as Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Tim Degraw, Carrie Underwood and Dixie Chicks. After moving to London eight months ago to pursue her musical dream, Catherine quickly immersed herself into the music scene. Performing at all of London’s most prestigious open mic nights. She further worked with some of the world’s best songwriters such as Liz Rose, Steve Robson, Lindy Robbins, Paddy Dolton and Jonny Latimer.

All Catherine’s hard work, talent and love for Country music quickly got picked up by Warner Bros. Records and in June Catherine signed her first major deal with the label. 2016 is already looking very promising for Catherine with tours, more writing sessions and her debut EP all planned for later this year.
